Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Ploras Poon. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, mobile applications, and car rental services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Ploras Poon Pte. Ltd. ("Ploras Poon," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access our Services.

2. Rental Agreement

When you rent a vehicle from us, you will be required to sign our standard rental agreement, which contains specific terms related to your rental. These Terms of Service complement the rental agreement. In case of any conflict between these Terms and the rental agreement, the rental agreement shall prevail.

3. Eligibility for Rental

To rent a vehicle from Ploras Poon, you must:

• Be at least 21 years old (additional surcharges may apply for drivers under 25)
• Hold a valid driver's license that has been valid for at least 12 months
• For non-Singapore residents, hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your national driving license
• Present a valid credit card in your name for the security deposit
• Meet our insurance requirements

We reserve the right to refuse rental service to anyone who does not meet these requirements or for any other lawful reason.

4. Reservation and Cancellation

Reservations: Reservations can be made through our website, mobile app, by phone, or in person at our rental locations. A reservation guarantees the availability of a vehicle in the requested category, but not a specific make or model within that category.

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start time will receive a full refund of any prepayment.
• Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the rental start time will be charged 25% of the total rental amount.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental start time will be charged 50% of the total rental amount.
• No-shows will be charged the full rental amount.

5. Rental Fees and Charges

Our rental fees include:

• Base rental rate for the selected vehicle category
• Basic insurance coverage (additional insurance options available)
• GST (Goods and Services Tax)

Additional charges may include:

• Additional driver fee
• Young driver surcharge (for drivers aged 21-24)
• Fuel charges (if the vehicle is not returned with the same fuel level)
• Late return fees
• Cleaning fees (for vehicles returned in an excessively dirty condition)
• Traffic or parking violations incurred during the rental period
• Damage or repair costs not covered by insurance
• Additional mileage charges (if applicable)

All prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise stated.

6. Vehicle Use Restrictions

By renting a vehicle from Ploras Poon, you agree to the following restrictions:

• Only authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement may drive the vehicle
• The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes
• The vehicle must not be used to transport hazardous materials
• The vehicle must not be used for commercial purposes (unless specifically authorized)
• The vehicle must not be driven outside of Singapore
• The vehicle must not be used for racing or speed testing
• Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles
• Pets are not allowed in our vehicles unless a special pet-friendly vehicle is requested

Violation of these restrictions may result in the termination of the rental agreement, additional charges, and liability for any resulting damages.

7. Damage, Accidents, and Insurance

Insurance Coverage: All rental vehicles come with basic insurance coverage. Additional coverage options are available at an extra cost. Details of the insurance coverage will be provided at the time of rental.

Accidents: In the event of an accident, you must:

• Immediately inform the police (for accidents involving injuries, third-party property damage, or damage to our vehicle)
• Notify Ploras Poon as soon as possible
• Obtain the names, addresses, and contact information of all parties involved and any witnesses
• Not admit liability or make any offers, promises, or payments
• Complete an accident report form

Damage: You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period, subject to the terms of the insurance coverage. A pre-rental inspection will be conducted, and any existing damage will be noted on the rental agreement.

8. Return of Vehicle

You agree to return the vehicle:

• On the date and time specified in the rental agreement
• To the location specified in the rental agreement (or an approved alternative location)
• In the same condition as when it was rented, except for normal wear and tear
• With the same amount of fuel as when it was rented (or pay additional fuel charges)

Late returns will incur additional charges as specified in the rental agreement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ploras Poon shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or other intangible losses
• Personal items left in the vehicle
• Delays or inability to rent a vehicle due to circumstances beyond our control

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to your use of our Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Ploras Poon for the relevant rental.

10. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through our website or other means. Your continued use of our Services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
